sketchbook favorites

I was looking through a sketchbook I finished (well it basically got too beat up to carry around, although I didn't actually fill all the pages) and decided to post some of my favorite things from it. There were a fair amount and this ended up taking longer than I thought it would so I will just post one page thing's worth for now.

awesome. all of it. except that self portrait.. why'd you make yourself look like a sad old japanese man? ;) seriously though you've got some awesome cartooning skillz. i think you need to start a webcomic about a gang of superhero condiments fighting .. i dunno.. evil bland food? i'm sure you can think of something better. i'd read it.

thanks emily! i made another portrait after that, which is in the new post. although there is yet a 3rd one which i drew well before the other two, and it's kind of scary looking. apparently that's what i look like when i relax my face.

i've been thinking it'd be fun to make a comic, and a good way to learn stuff. maybe this summer?

haha yeah, i know what you mean about the self portrait. whenever i try to draw myself, i end up thinking that either my drawing skills need work or my face actually just looks weird (it's probably both). if you have the time, you should totally try doing a comic - i bet you'd improve really quickly, being forced to draw so much and so often.
