more monster work

Been messin round with this monster too long
Gotta get me a new monster
One that don't treat me so bad
Drinkin whiskey under the porch
Oh lawwwd
Got the monster drawin' blues
(not really though it's actually a lot of fun)

This is my first real attempt at blending values in photoshop, which I suppose makes it my second attempt ever? It's a bit easier in photoshop than it was with acrylics, which was a lot of trial and error. However, since I keep changing the anatomy/realizing the values aren't really established well to begin with, I have to revise a lot. Still a work in progress, but I like the binocular eyes he's grown.

I have been watching FZDSCHOOL's channel on youtube and picking up some tips on composition. I decided to try to make a concept art type drawing. Here's how the initial stages are going.

There are still a lot of things to add and change but I think it's coming along alright. I still have a lot to learn about lighting, perspective... well drawing in general. But hopefully this will help me learn things.
